Three toolboxes filled with tools were stolen from the bed of a pickup parked outside a home in the 2100 block of Chaucer Court. Later, one of the toolboxes and its contents were found near the intersection of Chaucer Lane and Briarwood Manor Drive, close to where the toolboxes were stolen, Arnold Police reported.
The tools were stolen from the bed of the 2008 Dodge Ram between about 8 p.m. July 17 and 5:30 a.m. July 18. Among the tools were a cordless drill, staple gun, nail gun and multi-tool pack, altogether valued at about $2,400, the report said.
As of Aug. 3, the one remaining missing toolbox and tools had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Maj. Clinton Wooldridge said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
